Lots of stuff going on in my life besides sewing and crafting. This week I have no finishes!

Fortunately, I had a reader, Rita, reach out to me about her “HST Love” Quilt that she just finished and I really wanted to share her finished denim quilt.

How amazing is this. Her denim choices for those HSTs just make them pop out!

Rita says she is a beginning quilter. I don’t think so!

She used a flannel sheet for the backing. I haven’t used flannel yet but I think the next denim quilt I do will have flannel on it.

This is another denim quilt photo that she sent made. I love those flanged borders.

Here is my HST Love quilt from almost three years ago.

I do not have a tutorial or instructions for the HST Love quilt, but this is the diagram of the layout. I used 5″ squares–you could easily change it to any size.

All of my denim hoard is in my sewing studio in North Dakota. Or so I thought……

My daughter, Jes, asked me to make something for her and said she would bring some denim for the project. I was pretty excited when she said she had denim.

And she arrived with this bag……

Which turned into this pile of jeans…..

“Some” denim! Ha! I can make her project and many bags and quilts in the future! Maybe another HST Love quilt!

So much denim, so little time…..
