Martha Stewart’s Apple-Cider Doughnut Cake
I love to bake–especially when it’s cold.
It warms up the kitchen and the house smells wonderful and it just feels……homey. Is that a word?
Anyhow….
Having said that, I don’t bake a lot. First, because I live in Florida and it’s only a bit chilly November through February.
And I also love to eat my homemade baked goods. So I usually only bake if I have guests or some kind of event that needs cake!
Thought I’d share one of my favorite Autumn recipes.

This is cake is so good. Moist. Delicious. Especially when served with Salted Caramel Ice Cream. (another one of my downfalls)
I’ve made it twice this month so far. First for a pot luck and then for a bake sale. I plan to make it one more time. It takes some ingredients that I don’t usually keep at the house–like pure cane sugar, applesauce, and apple cider.
But it is so good. So good.
Thought I’d share some snaps from a recent chilly rainy autumn day that was only good for baking and napping!
And then. It was time for my looooong nap!
