Tiny Santa Hats
I had LOTS of plans for LOTS of homemade Christmas decor this year. But then SUDDENLY it was December! Time’s up! There will not be a pom-pom wreath or Christmas aprons for my guests. Nor will a new tree skirt appear.
My December guests–friends and family–started arriving on the 5th. And the last group–my ND kids–left Monday. With my DC kids coming on Christmas Eve for a visit. (And maybe some peeps from Tampa. I never know!)
So a day before the arrivals I knew that this was it. What could I squeeze into that last morning in my sewing room before it magically changed into a bedroom!
And then I realized that I couldn’t find my one and only tiny Santa hat.
Isn’t everything better and more Christmasy with a tiny Santa hat? (or any size Santa hat?)
So I was sad.
But then I couldn’t sleep (cause I was excited about the imminent arrival of my friends and family) and I was trying to get onto Design Space to play with my Cricut but couldn’t remember my password so I started browsing around Pinterest for tiny Santa Hats. And came across this FREE pattern!
Have to admit I do hesitate when I see FREE and DOWNLOAD here! Great way to get viruses, right? But I took the plunge and my virus checker said it was okey-dokey. And now. I have an adorable Santa Hat.
And I couldn’t stop making them!
I probably would have made more but my guests arrived and my sewing room was no more!
Anyhow. The pattern is free and there are actually several more templates. The directions are on her website. Love it!
The tutorial is here. You can go through the links to download the pattern. Easy Peasy. Although it calls for sewing, you could easily just use a hot glue gun if you are sewing machine adverse.
And then. After sending Roomba out to do her job. The missing Santa hat appeared.
Don’t know where it was. But I welcome it home.
Okay Tiny Santa hat, you can now adorn a dinosaur.
