The Perfect Picnic Quilt Finale
Finished! And it’s so pretty!
I considered putting canvas or a laminated fabric on the back of the quilt. After all, it is a “picnic” quilt and aren’t picnics on the ground? At least they are on movies and TV shows.
But not in Florida! This picnic quilt will be used on a picnic table. Never on the ground. Why?
FIRE ANTS! BITING FLIES! MOSQUITOES! NO-SEE-UMS!
It looks lovely right here in my screened room!
Terry and I took the Perfect Picnic Quilt for a bike ride last weekend to get some glamour shots.
The Chassahowitzka Salt Marsh Trail is less than a mile from our house. And we usually walk about two miles every day. But the biting flies are out to maim this time of year. Especially way out there in the wildlife management area. So we rode our bikes and I scampered up the viewing tower so Terry could get this shot. (Ha–scamper really is not something I do!)
Isn’t this an amazing view? Almost worth all those bug bites!
I’m not sure where the Perfect Picnic Quilt will end up. A gift? A silent auction item? Or will I just keep it to cuddle with my kitten? She does like quilts.
And it looks really good on the end of my bed!
Decisions, Decisions!

Looks lovely ~ worth all the effort!
Thanks Pamela! It was fun and turned out so nice! Now I have to catch up on some totes and bags that I have promised to people!
