That’s me!

I decided to move my sewing room and now I can’t find anything. Yikes! Plus I had a bunch of projects with deadlines but I got them finished yesterday! And delivered! Yippee! And I had friends stop by from Houston for an overnight visit. Lots of Fun! But like my husband always says about me, I’m always “putting 10 pounds in a 5 pound sack.”

I haven’t made much progress on my “summer quilt”.

I’m at the step in my Summer Quilt that I like the least. Basting. It is not difficult, but it is cumbersome. And therefore, I procrastinate. So disappointed in myself–I thought for sure I would have this quilt finished by now. But nope. I have my backing fabric. I bought all 6 yards that Fabric.com/Amazon had in stock. And here it sits on my pressing table. In my totally disorganized sewing space.

BUT tomorrow I have nothing scheduled. And I will get it basted and start the quilting! (Well that was the plan but I just got a text that the tutor at the learning center needs me to volunteer. Heavy sigh!)

The fabric that I ordered for binding also came in. I love the print but I don’t think I like it with the backing material. The perils of ordering online! I’ll definitely use it for something—eventually—but I think I will need to make a trip to a quilting shop to match up that bandana fabric. The new fabric is just a little too royal blue!

OMG! Will I ever make any progress on this quilt?
