Quilty Thoughts
It’s August 1st.
No longer “Christmas in July”.
We are deep into hurricane season. Usually nothing serious until Labor Day or later but today’s pink morning brought to mind the storms that are lurking out there now. Just waiting to get the right nudge to turn into hurricanes.
I don’t have any quilt “finishes” today but I did make substantial progress.
Well, not on the embroidery for the Mystery Christmas Quilt. I’m averaging one heart a week. And there are six. Will I be done by Christmas? That’s the mystery!
Last week I mentioned that their were quilt pieces all over the floor of the grandkids’ room. It’s almost a finished quilt top now!
It’s difficult to get a picture since it is large and I don’t have a design wall. More on this next week!
And one last photo. I found more Christmas fabric. Yikes. Now Christmas has it’s own very own storage container! I won’t be misplacing any bits and pieces again! (Not unless I lose the whole container!)
And now I’m off for a walk before that pink sky turns into a gray thunder clouds!
