Perfect Picnic Quilt SAL–Week 3
This week’s assignment for the “Perfect Picnic Quilt SAL” was to complete all of the block 1s. 2s, 3s, and the lonely 4 were done last week.
Here is the diagram that I’ve been following from Ruby Star Society:
I finished all the blocks. I had to lay them on the guest bedroom’s floor since my design wall is small. Here are all of the 1s.
Then, since I already did all of the 2, 3, and 4 blocks, I wonder clipped them all together to get an idea of what the final quilt would look like.
I thought I was really careful as I made the blocks to make sure that the same medium color blocks were far apart. But, now that I look at the above layout, I realize I didn’t do so good. I will have to do some shuffling! So I took all the wonder clips out and threw the blocks into two piles. Next week is a catch up week on the SAL, so I’ll be moving blocks around to get the perfect layout. Plus I still need to decide on the binding and backing. More quilty fun to come!
