Just some pics of our Christmas adventures in no particular order! And I’m back in Florida. I had a wonderful holiday and it’s not over! I am blessed!

....oh there's moreThis year I made TEN beer bags for gifts. I call them beer bags only because I designed them to hold a six pack of beer. But they are also good for other uses–not just holding beer! For one, they are great for storage. This is my stash of Bonnie and Camille fabric which I’ve been saving for a few … ….oh there’s more
This bag. I have been carrying it everywhere. Except in situations where I’m in a crowd and might be jostled. Then it’s this bag. Then I decided that I needed a Christmas-themed bag for upcoming holiday travel. And last month I made this bag. Again, based on a Noodle-head pattern–the Firefly in the Project Size. I had requirements. It had … ….oh there’s more
I have a cookie exchange party every year and it’s the “most happiest day of the year”. Friends and family come in from all over the country. Maybe not just for the cookies (although that is a good reason) but it is an excuse to get together and the timing doesn’t conflict with either Thanksgiving or Christmas. So I should … ….oh there’s more
I like to add something handcrafted to my home every Christmas. Stockings, birds, villages, trees, wall hangings…you know…just stuff. And this year it is……drumroll…. I made this guy three years ago. (You can read about it on this blog post. It’s a free pattern from Deliah Iris designs.) Athena, my odd cat, loves wool. I can not leave my wool pressing mats lay out–she shreds them with claws and teeth. If I had wool clothes in my closet she would probably be hanging off … ….oh there’s more
Every year I try to hand make something to gift and I thought I’d share with you what I’ve made in the past just in case you need ideas, too. Last year it was these cute gift bags with coffee mugs inside. The year before it was these Christmas Trees. I’ve also done soup cozies…. Not always used in the … ….oh there’s more
My 18 month old grandson is visiting this week. It’s been awhile since I’ve taken care of one at this age and I now remember that he has to be watched every moment. Arthur is a very busy little guy! He has no fear and everything must be explored! All outlets are covered, breakables are above his reach, and cabinets … ….oh there’s more
I am so excited that I got the Halloween quilt done! Before spooky season was over! Actually finished it yesterday. I love all the oranges and blacks and the fun prints. This block is my favorite! Dancing skeletons! And this one runs a close second. Cause it’s black cats! The quilt is about 50″ x 68″. Made a poppy little … ….oh there’s more
