There are SO MANY THINGS I want to make. Instagram is killing me. Such a time suck. I want to make that wallet, that tote, that quilt, that pillow, that dress…… And then my Baby Lock Unity bit the dust two weeks ago. Took it to the local quilt shop for repair and maintenance. I did not panic when they … ….oh there’s more

Anybody else decorate for Galentine’s Day? My turn to hold our outdoor socially-distanced under 10 attendees “tea party”. COSMOS AND COOKIES!

Moda BH3 Blocks 53, 54 and 55! One more to go!

Moda Blockheads 3

I had grand plans on this past Sunday to have all of these blocks done plus my first quilt from the blocks all stitched together and maybe even getting the last block done as soon as it came out on Wednesday. But my sewing machine had other plans. It had a minor breakdown. And is now at the local quilt … ….oh there’s more

hearts

I just finished the Moda Blockhead 3 blocks on Saturday (still one left that comes out tomorrow) and started back into the refresh for my sewing room on Sunday. Cleaned my sewing machine first. It operates so much better when I keep all that dust and bits of thread out of it! Put it all back together…… And the bobbin … ….oh there’s more

heart log cabin

For you today, I have TWO quilty heart blocks! Both finish at 7″. I’ve been planning on making a better tutorial for this heart block since way back when I first put it together in February 2016! And finally, five years later! I did it! You have a couple weeks left before the day of hearts so you could easily … ….oh there’s more

Sewing Room Refresh Continues

design board

After struggling with the making of the new cushions for my chairs, I thought that I should take on something a little easier. I had this bulletin board that was hidden away in my laundry room for the past several years. It had definitely seen better days but I thought I could spruce it up. Give it some personality. And … ….oh there’s more

Valentine Hearts

On my last quilty post, I said that I was busy working on a different quilt that was my own design. I thought about that statement quite a bit after it was posted. I’ve actually been working on a BLOCK. Not an entire quilt. (Although I hope to turn it into an entire quilt!) And this block is not my … ….oh there’s more

sewing room chair with rifle paper company fabric

First up in my 2021 Refresh for my sewing room is RECOVERED CUSHIONS with the lovely Strawberry Fields canvas from Rifle Paper Company. Pretty! I am not making a tutorial for boxed cushions with piping and zippers. This is really a difficult project. Directions for these are way beyond my skill level! Everytime I make cushions I swear “NEVER AGAIN”. … ….oh there’s more

Moda Blockheads3

Over the past three weeks I finished eight of the blocks from this quilt-a-long. Starting with Block 45 and ending with Block 52. I’m not going into each block because there are a lot of them! And you can grab all of the blocks for Moda Blockheads 3 on the Block Heads 3 Archive. I have to admit that I … ….oh there’s more

Sewing Room Refresh!

Rifle Paper Co. Basics

Okay. Much to my dismay. I give up. My sewing room is now permanently in my former dining room. It is just not feasible to go up and down those 14 steps 10 times a day. Unfortunately I am moving from a space that was double where I had plenty of space for all my tools and fabric. (sad face) … ….oh there’s more
