Norah Quilt Top
I haven’t been sewing very much this week, but I did finish my Norah Quilt Top from Sunny Day Supply.
This is my second “Scrappy Times” quilt. So called because I am only using fabrics that I have in my stash. And we are living in Scrappy Times!
The Norah Quilt is mainly a huge log cabin block. I started with this wee rabbit that I pulled from my Rifle Paper Company fabric–English Garden.
I seem to be pulled to getting fabric with rabbits and was able to add a few more bunnies.
These bunnies are from Riley Blake Designs.
And a row of rabbits from Cotton & Steel Black & White collection.
And then I found some more Rifle Paper Company fabric that I bought on clearance a long time ago–Alice in Wonderland.
I thought I’d make this into a 60″ square quilt but I barely made it to 50″. Adding the longer strips was really getting tedious so with these last weekend I said ‘DONE”!
This week Sunny Day Supply is supposed to be posting about hand-quilting the Norah Quilt. I’m considering it. I’m certainly not in any hurry to get it finished. And it would be something new to learn. If I go in that direction I will need to get a new loop, needles and thread. Waiting for the directions from the website before I order!
It’s an interesting quilt but I think I’m ready to get back to more of a modern style rather than scrappy!
