The Splendid Sampler
Created by Pat Sloan and Jane Davidson, The Splendid Sampler started on February 14, 2016. One hundred blocks designed by over 80 quilters and distributed two a week. And there is an occasional bonus block thrown in.
I made three or more blocks every week from May 24, 2016 through February 16, 2017. Then I pulled the quilt together with borders and FINALLY finished the sampler on May 4, 2017.
It’s was a fun and challenging project! Some of the blocks were very difficult and others were easy-peasy. It definitely made me a better quilter because I tried many different piecing methods that I would never have attempted. Click on any of the following pictures to see that post.
