Holiday Projects
So are you getting ready for the holidays? We are supposed to get company. Which always gets me into high gear!
I love having visitors!
So I’ve been doing this and that to get ready. Projects that have patiently been waiting in the garage are finally getting attention.
The flamingo got a pretty pink paint job and sparkly new lights.
It’s finally been cool enough to work in my garage so I’m updating these old tables. They need a little shine. Maybe even a little bling.
Cool enough to work in the garage but still too hot to plant winter annuals. The weather is supposed to start getting back to normal so I’m hoping to start brightening up my garden next week.
And, of course, I pulled out all of the Christmas fabric I’ve been collecting.
Last year I made a Christmas quilt for my naps. Yes, I am a big believer in the power of naps! One of the few things that Maggie and I both agree on!
Not sure if I’m going to make a 2015 quilt. These smaller quilts are pretty easy and Maggie truly appreciates them!
These are headed for aprons and potholders. Love those little reindeer! The same designer created these reindeers that made the fabric I used for Adley’s quilt that I featured on Tuesday. This is OH Joy! by Penny Rose fabrics by Elea Lutz for Riley Blake. I didn’t like any other of the prints in the line so decided to create my own matches. I think these will work!
Picked the fabric up on the right about a week before Christmas last year at the local quilt shop. Knew I wouldn’t have time to make anything with it but loved it. Then the matching print on the left went on clearance this summer. Winner! Not sure what I’m making with these.
And these little lovelies have been around for a few years in one of my many storage baskets. Just waiting for a project. This could be their year!
Okay. I’m sure I’ll be posting more about these in the future.
