Happy Little Things Finale
Yippee! I’m done. This quilt is so bright and cheerful, anyone snuggled under it could only be HAPPY! I love it!
Mistakes were Made!
I used a soft, cushy, snuggly, “sunny bunny” yellow Minky for the backing. And I pin-basted. I know better. Minky is of the devil. I would normally have spray basted in my garage. On the wall. We had just patched a large gash in the wall–the only wall in the garage that I can use. How do the gash get there? Bad Golf Cart Driver. (Yes. It was me!) And the spackle was still wet. And I thought, I’m a good enough quilter now. I will just pin-baste and then quilt. No problem.
Except. From the very first quilt line, Minky was moving. Planning it’s sinister plans. Jack the Ripper was employed on multiple instances.
I wanted to do more quilting but finally gave up in frustration.
This quilt, while beautiful on the front, will never make it into a quilt show. It will be very comfy on someone’s couch. Owner yet to be determined. And, because I didn’t have a deadline for this quilt to be finished, I hand stitched the binding to the back. Slow sewing!
Anyhow, I’m finished. I love the colors and the whole layout. On to the next quilt!
