Happy 2016!
2015 was a great year and FLEW by. Over. Gone. Done with.
Maggie and I took a few weeks off because we needed to get stuff done. Christmas and all.
But we’re back and recharged after our holiday vacation.
On to 2016.
So I should be doing some resolutions here. Cause that’s what we do in a new year and especially in BlogLand. We like to share all those goals that we can’t possibly attain.
First, I resolve to never try to make five bags in five weeks. Or any other sewing over-commitment. At long last, reality has entered my little brain. Whenever I say “it will only take one hour” it will be at least six. Truly. I am a major underestimator.
On to what I might actually do….
I would like to make four quilts this year. Doable? We’ll see. I’ve already bought a bunch of fabric and am really excited to get started…
Two quilts will be for my house and the other two will be denim quilts for grandkids Courtney, 13, and Justin, 12. But that could change if any of our family or friends decide to have a baby and then I’ll want to throw a baby quilt together. Cause I love all that baby fabric. Oh, and babies, too.
And besides my sewing life, I’m going to read more books, play my piano, pick the banjo or strum the ukulele daily. Then, when I’m done with all that, I’m going to take more and better photos, work in my gardens, travel, and play with the grandkis.
Sigh….when will I work on my blogs?
I’m back to posting on Tuesdays and Thursdays here. I’m saving Tuesdays for all of my sewing projects. Thursdays will be other DIY, gardening, photography–anything not done on a sewing machine!
Next Tuesday I should have my January block QAYG block up. (Should. But there’s all those Christmas decorations that need taken down and stored away.)
Hope your 2016 is starting out great!
Kathy
