Hand Stitchery Bag
I finished it! Yippee! Yesterday!
But gotta ‘fess up, I didn’t get the tutorial done. (loser)
So many unforeseen events that got in my way. (and my lack of planning around real events)
Okay, now that the whining is out of the way, let me tell you about this latest bag.
You might recall that it started out as a “Crafty Bag” that I would take along on road trips and use for my portable crafty projects.
Then I started thinking about what “crafts” really are and that they occasionally include glue and paint and maybe a little modge podge. Not happening on a road trip.
What I really wanted the tote for is all needle craft DIYs. Embroidery. Hexies. Crocheting. Maybe even knitting if I decide to take on that challenge.
So, name change. “Hand Stitchery Bag” for any hand stitchery witchery I might want to do while riding in a vehicle. Or a plane. Or even a train.
I planned the size of the bag for what would be in there.
I love these plastic boxes to carry my projects in. They are 6 1/2″ wide by 11″ long. I also wanted areas in the interior to place all those little tools. I designed the bag to be 12″ high, 12″ wide, and 8″ deep.
And here is the perfect hand stitchery bag!
All the little tools have a divided pocket. My little scissors and needle pack get a key clasp so I’ll always know exactly where they are! The two embroidery hoops that I most often use fit into the larger interior pocket.
I love it and am looking forward to using it on my next road trip! (Actually and in reality, when I’m not traveling all those little tools, projects, and boxes will stay in the bag beside the sofa in the in the family room so I can keep my hands busy while watching the latest binge TV!)
I will put the tutorial together this weekend and give you the deets on how to make sure all those pieces come together correctly!
