Halloween Hexies Quilt Finale!
I am so excited that I got the Halloween quilt done! Before spooky season was over! Actually finished it yesterday.
I love all the oranges and blacks and the fun prints.
This block is my favorite! Dancing skeletons!
And this one runs a close second. Cause it’s black cats!
The quilt is about 50″ x 68″.
Made a poppy little name label with my embroidery machine.
Most of the cotton fabric came from my stash or I bought it at local quilt shops in Garrison and Bismarck North Dakota and in Crystal River Florida. I’m trying to buy more from my local shops rather than ordering on line. Sometimes, though, my local shop doesn’t have what I want. Like the black cuddle minky that I used for the backing. I ordered that from Amazon. It comes in a 58″ width and I ordered two yards.
I love a stripey binding and I had this in my stash.
I took it the spooky quilt out to the yard to get some snaps.
And a pic of me with the quilt–because I took the time to figure out how to get the iPhone to take timed photos!
I’m so happy I finished this one and it won’t go back into the pile of forgotten and unfinished quilts. Next up are some Dinosaur pillows to go with the Dinosaurs quilt I made grandson Arthur then I’m looking forward to finishing the Holiday quilt I started two years ago.
And now, perhaps another quilt is in the mix. I stumbled across this new quilt pattern from Elizabeth Hartman. (She designed the Dinosaurs Quilt) Oh this would look great in our grandkids bedroom. I think I might have to put this on my “to do” list!
Happy Halloween!

Beautiful! Love the cats!
I love the cats so much! Already going through my scraps to pick out cat pajamas!
Love the Halloween quilt! The bettlejuice binding add a great touch! I feel like you may have to make alot of those cat quilts!
That’s why I picked the black stripe! Kinda spooky! I’m hoping the cat pattern is easy so I can make lots of cat in pajamas!
