Baby Bibs
My 18 month old grandson is visiting this week. It’s been awhile since I’ve taken care of one at this age and I now remember that he has to be watched every moment. Arthur is a very busy little guy! He has no fear and everything must be explored! All outlets are covered, breakables are above his reach, and cabinets are tied shut!
My sewing has been limited to early morning before he gets up—I’m too worn out to sew after he goes to bed!
While I have several other projects that I should be working on, my daughter mentioned that the Halloween bib I made him last year that was too big then but is perfect for him now.
So you know I had to make some bibs!
Another way to use up some of my stash!
I have no idea where I got the patterns. Most likely from a link on Pinterest. Although I didn’t find them in my pins there are dozens of free patterns out there.
The snaps are from Kamsnaps and there is a layer of batting between the outer fabric and backing.
I pulled these squares from a charm pack I purchased years ago to make coasters from and pieced them together.
I bought this elephant fabric on a whim many years ago. A fabric company sent me a discount. I thought “this is so cute I will use it for something.” Nope. Now until this project.
The backs for both are from a fat eighth gingham pack I purchased for the Dinosaurs quilt. (I love gingham!)
I should have time to make a few more bibs before they head back to DC. And I have plenty of kid fabric left in my stash!
And back to the busyness of an 18 month old.

Isn’t it the best age! Enjoy that little guy and he is the cutest and bestest!
