Dust Cover for the CriCut Maker

Dust cover for Cricut maker

I finally have something to share from my organizing efforts I posted about a month ago. Terry and I made the trek to Ikea in Tampa. That’s about a hour and a half drive for us. Bought this really cool Alex Drawer Unit. On wheels. (I love the wheels.) It’s now the home base for my CriCut Maker. There is … ….oh there’s more

In the Garden

In the garden

Happy Tuesday! I missed posting on both of my blogs for all of last week! What! I actually had stuff planned but my brain shut down after it went into overload. I did manage to write an article for NatureCoaster.com. I’m a guest writer for the publisher of the online magazine and try to post something about local happenings every … ….oh there’s more

Are you ready for some football?

It’s almost Super Bowl Sunday! Having a party? Well, if so, I’ve got some fun and easy ideas! How about this for a cool table runner? And it’s SUPER easy-peasy! Bought some inexpensive green cotton quilting fabric from Jo-ann’s.  I cut it 26″ by the width of the fabric–42″.  Those yard lines would have been really easy with some white … ….oh there’s more

Valentine’s Day Ideas

Valentine's Day Hot Pad

Two steps forward, one back. That’s what my life has been like for the past few months. But, looking at the bright side, I’m still always that one step ahead! I’m trying to get my sewing room perfect. Organized. Neat. Tidy. And easy to keep it that way. I’m also working on one project that I completely forgot about that … ….oh there’s more

Let’s Get Organized

Sewing Room

Is there something in our DNA that makes most of America decide that the beginning of a new year is the time to get organized, get fit, and/or lose weight? Time to make goals, resolutions. Time to be the best person one can possibly be. All those goals! Think I’ll start out by owning some organization! I’m all about organization. … ….oh there’s more

Sky Quilt

Sky Quilt

My first quilt for 2019! Which should have been my last quilt for 2018 since it was a Christmas gift. I had plenty of time to get it done but I had issues while making this quilt. I can make flying geese. Easy-Peasy. But 152. Not so easy-peasy. And figuring out how to trim everything up–my quilting was nice and … ….oh there’s more

2019 Goals

Posted on January 3, 2019 by Kathy GreenJanuary 2, 2019

Is anyone else out there messed up with what day of the week it is? Having the holidays on a Tuesday along with having a house full of family has really confused my sense of time. It seems like every day is Sunday! But I gotta get back on track. Today is Thursday and I thought I’d share some goals … ….oh there’s more

Sew many Squares

My last quilt finish for 2018! Sew Many Squares Throw. I started this one back in October. This is a Riley Blake design that I cut out on my Cricut Maker. The very first project I made with the maker. You can check out the two posts here and here. I gave it to my husband, Terry. He loves it. … ….oh there’s more

DIY Hot Pads

I missed posting all of last week.  I actually thought that I had some posts scheduled and didn’t realize until last Friday that they weren’t posted at all! WordPress, the software I use to write this blog, did a major upgrade last week.  I’m still struggling with it.  It’s probably supposed to be easier but not so far! Guess I … ….oh there’s more

Fall Into a Quilt-A-Long

Fall Into A QAL

Finished! Yeah! I love the backing! I love the whole quilt! So pretty! So bright! Something I have learned from this QAL.  I usually do each block in a “quilt as you go” method.  Finish the block, attach the batting and then do any applique or quilting necessary.  Which means at the end I have to do the same with … ….oh there’s more
