christmas hexie fabric

I am slooooowly healing from the big fall. Every day is a little better. Although I do have times that I’m so sad that I’m stuck like this for another two months and five days and 12 hours. Not that I’m keeping track. Or anything. Have to say that working on my new Christmas Hexie quilt has kind of saved … ….oh there’s more

little town

Hey! I’m alive! Totally helpless and completely dependent on the kindness of others….but alive! Surgery went well. My leg was double triple quadruple wrapped since the surgery but the doctor finally removed it yesterday. He says the surgery was a great success but I can’t put any weight on that leg for many many many weeks. I see cabin fever … ….oh there’s more

I had big plans for this year. Bet you did too. All for naught. “Man Plans, God laughs.“ I’ve seen that phrase used many times in our new reality. Yep. I had plans for Tuesday’s post. Norah quilt

Went on a road trip in June for a week. Visited my daughter, her husband, and his sister in DC. Oh. There was a dog, too. Since we were driving, I wanted to take along a project for all those hours of being captive in the car. Hand-quilting the Norah quilt was my first thought but the car was FULL! … ….oh there’s more

Moda BlockHead 3

Another two blocks finished! Yay! And I really love these two! I usually wait a few days after the release of each new block to check out what the other quilters have created on FB. When Block 21 came out, Hugs and Kisses from Lissa Alexander, I looked at it and said, “Oh, That’s cute!” And figured I’d check out … ….oh there’s more

In the Sewing Room

I haven’t made much quilting progress over the last week. While I am still hand-quilting the Norah quilt, this might take me the rest of 2020. Not complaining–it’s nice to have my hands busy while watching stuff on TV and I’m still spending just as much time in the sewing room. I have about six rows left to quilt all … ….oh there’s more

Moda BlockHeads 3, Blocks 19 and 20

Moda Blockhead 3

I started out with Block 19 from Brigitte Heitland of Zen Chic. This block is paper-pieced which is one of my favorite patchwork methods. And I also usually like pink and orange together. But I really didn’t care much for my version. I thought it looked like a radiation sign. “Warning. Warning. Danger. Danger!” Okay, maybe I have an overactive … ….oh there’s more

The hoop arrived in just a few days as did the really cool thimble and needles. Sad face that I bought all from Amazon. But. Where else do I turn? Really peeps. Don’t judge me.
