Starting Fresh!
Have you ever just wanted to start over? New challenges? New adventures?
Terry and I have decided to do just that. Well, maybe not as exciting as that sounds, like we are not going to start mountain climbing or swimming with sharks, but kinda sorta like that. Just more low key.
Our home in Homosassa is sold which I didn’t believe until I actually saw the money in my bank account! (ka-ching!) The buyers love everything about it, just like we do. I was so happy to see their excitement when they came to meet us during the home inspection. So many of the other visitors that came through the house were just planning to turn it into a VRBO or flipping it. These new people want to love it. Or I was completely fooled!
We are now driving to North Dakota. Actually we are in a Hampton Inn just south of St. Louis as I type. Athena is with us. Of course. She is such a great traveler. When she was just a kitten we started taking her on golf cart rides and an occasional short car ride. We did our big drive to North Dakota and back to Florida last year and she was great. But even with starting her out young, I think some cats (and dogs) are not so happy to travel. Athena really loves the whole process. The driving–she likes watching the big trucks–and the hotels–she adores going through every inch of the room. But she does have fears of big noises and strangers so she doesn’t try to run out when we open the car or hotel door.
And Athena’s favorite part of travel, checking out the view.
Packing was a bit of a nightmare since I decided to do it all by myself. We did hire a moving line that drives the big truck and does the the heavy lifting at both Florida and North Dakota. And they were great on the pick up end. I know that they will be equally great when they deliver.
We will be making many stops along the way. Because. We are kinda old. And we have a cat!
My posting might be even more sporadic than usual since I’ll be unpacking and finding the perfect spot for all of my important stuff!
But once we get settled I’ll be back to share all my crafts and projects in our new home.
Meanwhile, there might be photos!

We are all so excited to have you back and start our North Dakota adventures and fun!
