And just like that, It’s CHRISTMAS!
Cue the holiday music…
“It’s the most wonderful time of the year”
And aren’t you glad it’s just about over?
My husband and I are involved in a lot of volunteer activities all year but especially at Christmas. Not going into details but it keeps us very busy along with the regular family and friend activities.
Besides that I did get a lot of handmade projects finished. I posted the following here on the blog over the past few weeks….
But had more on the list….
Pom Pom Wreath. Nope.
Handmade Christmas Cards. Ha! (but I did get the purchased ones sent out!)
Making a Christmas Village. Supplies are still in my garage on my workbench.
Annual holiday apron. I already have plenty–or so I told myself.
And my Christmas Quilt 2021? Might be a Winter Quilt 2022. (or could even push it to Christmas 2022).
But I did eat a lot of of great food, made a lot of cookies, spent many quality hours with friends and family…..
Part of the reason some of the projects weren’t finished was that I decided I needed a dining room because I had a lot of company coming in. And what if it rained? Or turned unseasonably cold? Where would everyone dine?
So my creative cave magically transformed into a dining room. (Not so magical. Took me hours to find hidey holes for my sewing and craft supplies. Will I ever find them?) Turned out it was all for naught–the weather was warm and when we were home to dine, we all sat out in the screened room and enjoyed the outdoors.
And I haven’t turned the dining room back into my sewing/crafting place yet. Because I really like having a dining room. Not sure how I’m going to handle that because I also need space to create. Maybe it will be a hybrid spot split between creating and dining. Change is good! Oh well, that’s a post for 2022! When I’m ready to get all organized again!
Hope you have a great Christmas!
