Quilty Thursday
I feel like I have accomplished so much in my sewing room. Besides the Squirrelly Girl fun–and more of those projects to come!
The last day for the Christmas Hexie Quilt to be on the design wall!
I made it up all 14 steps to my large cutting table and pressing board. Basted it with 505 Spray Adhesive. (floor is a mite bit sticky!) Pressed. Trimmed. And I even started quilting it!
I think I might just be able to finish it this week! Woohoo!
Now that the Christmas Hexie Quilt is off of the design wall, up goes the Moda BlockHeads 3 QAL. I’m behind four blocks. But I have no deadline! This QAL isn’t over until February!
This is Scrappy Times 3. Just a lot of 2 1/2″ unfinished squares at this point. Still need to get some more trimmed and stitched. At first I needed 780 of these pieces but then decided that I wanted this quilt to be a little larger. Now I need 918. No problem. I have lots of scraps and Terry just gave me another pair of old jeans for me to cut up!
And this is the last quilt that I’m working on. This one is definitely the oldest Un finished Object (UFO). On Tuesday I moved it into the Work in Progress (WIP) pile.
This is my “Tell me a Story Quilt”. I planned on making two different twin-sized quilts with fairies and rabbits. One for day and one for night. This is obviously night time, right?
It turned out to be more difficult than I expected. The fairies kind of disintegrated at one point. But I’m back it. Since the appliques are a bit delicate, this will most likely be a wall hanging. And I don’t even have the two twin beds anymore!
So that’s my Quilty Progress on Quilty Thursday!
