Norah Quilt — Finished!
Finished! Yippee!
These are some pics from before washing the quilt.
I was expecting some shrinkage and after laundering and drying….
It shrunk up just a little. Just enough. Perfect!
I quite often give my quilts to friends and family. I’m keeping this one. Love it. It will always remind me of these turbulent times. But I think it will cheer me up with all the happy fabrics.
Here’s the label. Kind of screwed up with the binding and covered the bottoms of the “y”. Whoops!
I used the same backing that I used on my first “Scrappy Times” quilt. I kinda like it. I used a giant Frankenstein stitch on the binding.
I actually had the quilt finished last week but I didn’t have a pic of the full quilt. I usually take my quilts outside to get photos. The light is so much nicer. But going down those treacherous FIVE STEPS on my crutches was too scary. Finally. I had to go to a meeting that I couldn’t miss and braved the steps. Got Terry to hold the quilt for me. Took several snaps. Then went to make this post.
It’s upside down.
Ha!
I give up. I’ll get another pic when I’m a little stronger!

Great job! Love the bunnies!
I love all the bunnies so much. Jessica just rolls her eyes at me when I pull that type of fabric out. I can’t help it! Glad you are still following along and commenting!
Love it, I especially love the Frankenstein stitches. Glad to hear you are getting around a little.
Thank you Deb! I really enjoyed the hand quilting process. Even though most of it is Frankenstein stitches! I should be in North Dakota now. Miss the family! I know you are taking good care of the girls. I feel like I am missing such an important time in their lives!
Well, everyone just sits around and can’t do much, so a good summer to miss out on!
True. I have been telling myself that it’s HOT and HUMID. And nowhere to go! Better off sitting in the A/C!
I was going to volunteer to be the recipient of the quilt. We have Christmas and fall quilt, just need a summer one!
I didn’t really think anyone would like all those different fabrics jumbled together so I’m keeping it. But I’m sure I’ll have at least one more quilt finished this summer to send your way!
