The NEW Kitchen
I’m finally ready to show you my new kitchen. I was waiting until I had put all the finishing touches on my beautiful space but perhaps I’ll never be done. I was just thinking that I should soon get my fall decor out and realized that I better grab some snaps before I change everything out!
First, the former kitchen. This house was built in 1974. I think the kitchen may have been remodeled but it was a pretty bad “upgrade”.

And the new kitchen…..
Daughter-in-law Lauri had already put in new LVP floors and a very useful pantry. We had installed a Bosch dishwasher and GE refrigerator when we moved in last year. Other than that, the entire kitchen was gutted plus the popcorn ceilings were replaced. The peninsula and some of the upper cabinets were removed. Lots of new recessed lighting. New maple cabinets went all the way to the ceiling. Lots of drawers! I was looking for a white arabesque tile for the backsplash but couldn’t find anything I liked until Lauri showed me her new backsplash. I admit, I’m a copy cat. But it looks SO good!

But I love her.

I have my DREAM range–a GE Cafe dual fuel. Maple cabinets which I had in Florida and loved but these are new and beautiful. Butcher block on the island and the corner cabinet. Quartz on the rest of the countertops. (I’ve put quartz into the last two kitchens that I have remodeled. Always pleased with it.)
The space is light and bright and never seems cluttered even when I’m cooking or baking. It was a long and arduous process but I am so please with how it turned out!
Next…..updating the living room.
There’s always something!

Looks great. Love the cabinets! So much brighter.
Cats never go on the table/counters except for pictures and when company comes!
Enjoy.
Terry
Hi Terry! Athena is a lot better as she gets older but still….. Nothing is safe from her paws and claws!
LOVE the new kitchen. It looks so amazing and opened up the house to all that light.
Lauri, I love my kitchen! Just what I envisioned for this beautiful house!
