Perfect Pretty Pouches
It’s almost the end of June and I’m just now sharing this last project that I made in May.
Perfect Pretty Pouches!
I’m not going into directions because there are SO many free tutorials on Pinterest and YouTube. I highly recommend this one from Sotak Co. She also has instructions for making the wristlet on her website.
For this project I used four 11″ high by 8″ wide pieces of fabric–two of canvas for the exterior and two of quilting cotton for the lining–and boxed the corners at 1 1/2″. I save all of my special pieces of canvas fabric for these little bags and love matching up the zippers and lining.
This one went to my friend that hosted a “goodbye” dinner.
The rest of the bunch went with me to my grandson’s first birthday celebration. I let friends and family pick which one they wanted.
This one went to the other grandma. (As my granddaughter Adley calls her!)
Both of these were made with scraps from my Rifle Paper Company Canvas collection. (Which is rapidly diminishing.)
Daughter-in-law Lauri got the alligator pouch because it matches the Sandhill Sling I made her back in April.
I have tiny bits of the alligator left. Maybe enough to make a triangular coin purse. Someday.
My daughter chose the red, white, and blue pouch. The nautical flags spell out USA.
I made one extra pouch. This was a really small scrap of fabric but I love toile and decided I’d just add some matching canvas to make it work. This little pretty probably go into my donation stash for fund raisers or…..maybe I’ll keep it.
And that’s it for my May Projects. Hoping to cover June stuff next week.
