Dinosaurs Quilt. Not ready for prime time.
It’s finished. I’m REALLY happy with how it turned out.
Just need to get some great glamour shots and I thought I had the perfect opportunity……
Went to Fernandina Beach on Amelia Island last weekend. To hang out with my daughter and family for one day while they were there on vacation. Took the quilt along to get some snaps with the beautiful Atlantic Ocean as a backdrop. (And I thought I’d send it home with them since I made it for their son Arthur.)
Left Homosassa with lovely spring weather. And arrived three and one half hours later to Fernandina Beach with temps of 56 degrees and hurricane winds. What a difference from the west coast to the east coast!
Despite the weather, it was an wonderful visit with Jessica, Andrew, and Arthur at the beautiful Omni Resort. But there were no Kodak Moments on that beach.
Jessica and I did do a short walk on the nature trail when the rain let up a little and got sand blasted at one turn. Is that good for my skin?
I brought both the Dinosaur and the awful weather back home with me to Homosassa. And that’s how it has been ever since. No opportunity to get photos of the quilt in the great outdoors. Therefore, no glamour shots.
Hopefully next week!
