The Perfect Market Bag
To market, to market, to buy a fat pig, home again, home again, jiggety-jig!
Well, I’m not buying a fat pig, but I’ve been thinking about the Perfect Market Bag for several weeks.
It has to be big enough to hold a bunch of produce from the Market,
And maybe hold a craft purchase or two…
But not too big.
It’s gotta be strong enough to hold all that stuff and comfortable to lug around,
with some personality.
Have all kinds of special pockets,
And even a clip for keys.
And a way to close it so any treasures won’t spill out.
Way before I started this Tote series, I knew what I was making and had all the fabric for the first four bags. But I couldn’t decide what the market bag would look like nor what fabric to use. I finally picked out the fabric the end of last week and then started designing the bag. Not very good planning on my part!
And that’s why I don’t have the tutorial ready. If you were planning on making this today, sorry. I didn’t get this finished until yesterday and it takes a REALLY long time to edit the photos and write all of those words!
I promise to put the tutorial up next Tuesday when I announce the winner of THE
This is the last week. And as before, just enter a comment and you could win. And this week in your comment, let me know which bag you want. Comments will close on Sunday at midnight. That gives me time to contact the winner on Monday!
Here’s the choices.
Easy Peasy Tote
I’m giving both of these totes as one selection, Two for the price of one!
The Handy Tote
Mermaid and book not included!
Boo Bag
Skeleton is staying here!
Shopping Tote
And this week’s selection,
The Perfect Market Bag
The Perfect Market Bag measures 12 3/4″ high, 12″ wide and 6″ deep. I’ve double stitched all the seams to make it extra strong and the handle has two layers of fleece so it’s comfortable on the shoulder. Lots of pockets.
Pick a bag, any bag! Just make a comment.
This little piggy picks this one!

Yes, John, you should have the shopping tote. It’s almost manly. Except for that pink lining!
